Mother Infant Young Child Nutrition Project Officer(3 Positions) - Pochalla,Uror and Twic East

re you an experienced and qualified Mother Infant Young Child Nutrition Officer? Tearfund South Sudan has an exciting opportunity for a professional and qualified Mother Infant Young Child Nutrition Project Officer.

The MIYCN Officer will manage the day to day MIYCN work in Uror, Twic East and Pochalla. This includes providing technical oversight; facilitating training; monitoring and evaluation, support provision of IYCF activities, specifically training, support and supervise IYCF counsellors and Mother to Mother Support Groups (MtMSG).

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Degree in the relevant field and/registered Nurse
  • Clinical Nurse
  • At Least Three years or substantial Proven experience in Therapeutic and supplementary feeding programs
  • Experience in community work
  • Knowledge of Community Development/mobilisation
  • Nurse with proven knowledge in relief and development issues
  • Experience with NGOs
  • Experience working as a nurse
  • Experience in IYCF work

  • Problem solving skills
  • Training skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including ability to communicate effectively in a particular language other than English in certain locations)
  • Ability to learn fast
  • Computer literate (Word & Excel)
  • Ability to communicate confidently and comfortably about own personal faith
  • Ability to lead and facilitate team in project implementation and pray and Bible study
  • Ability and commitment to apply biblical principles prayerfully within all aspects of the role.
