World Vision is looking for a dynamic person to fill the position of Team Leader, (Man or Woman) for its South Sudan Emergency Food Crisis Response Project (SSEFCRP), World Bank, based in Juba, County, South Sudan

Purpose of the Position:

Lead the Juba Project Team/ South Sudan Emergency Food Crisis Response Project (SSEFCRP) in the development, implementation, oversight and evaluation of all programming, with emphasis on quality project implementation, monitoring and reporting as well as staff performance and efficient use of project resources. Ensure that the projects are effectively implemented and meet the designated goals, objectives and milestones of the program, the donors and the target population.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervision and technical support
Supervise and provide technical support to project managers and officers to ensure they meet the project objectives.
Planning
Conduct operational planning to ensure effective coordination & timely delivery of project activities;
Program Monitoring
Monitor the program/project implementation to ensure achievement of project goals and objectives/milestones;
Reporting
Develop and implement operations reporting systems to support timely and accurate reporting to all stakeholders;
Security
Implement operations according to safety standards with support from the Security function;
Administration
Coordinate with Support Services for provision of funds, staff, equipment, vehicles & supplies to ensure timely program implementation;
Operations
Identify report and refer operational blockages caused by external actors to Operations Director to be addressed through advocacy;
Compliance
Meet WV minimum quality standards and support improvement, reflection, learning and innovation in sectors;
Relationships
Strengthen relationships with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food security, local stakeholders, the UN and other INGO/NGOs, to improve opportunities for advocacy and collaboration aligned with program priorities and responsibilities;
Resource Acquisition
Support the development of proposals to meet needs identified at Area and community levels that are aligned with the WV South Sudan Strategic Plan;
N.B: Subject to Funding approval by Donor.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:
• He/She should be a holder of at least MSc. Agriculture or rural development with experience of not less than ten years in managing rural agricultural programmes.
• Experience in the management of relief and development work
• Experience in Emergency Relief management
• Management experience and leading a multi-cultural team
• At least 3 years field experience in a developing country
