INSO Free First Aid Training in Juba for NGOs

INVITATION TO FREE FIRST AID TRAINING, Juba, April 2018

INSO South Sudan will hold two free three-day First Aid Awareness Trainings in Juba at Mauna Classic Hotel on 16-18 and 23-25 April 2018.

The main aim of the course is to equip nominated NGO staff with the knowledge and skills to operate safely as first responders to medical situations in challenging operating environments. Priority will be given to staff with responsibility for first aid in compounds or operationally in the field. The following modules will be covered during the three-day period; Casualty Incident Management, Unconscious Casualty Management, Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation, Wounds, Bleeding and Shock Management, Fractures, Dislocations, Sprains and Strains Management, Burns and Scalds Management, Spinal Injury Casualty Management, Poisons, Bites and Stings Management.

Two well-qualified and experienced paramedics with experience in NGO risk management are scheduled to teach the course in English. The three-day course will accommodate a maximum of twenty-five trainees.

The course is open to NGOs operating in South Sudan. It will be free of charge and non-residential. Refreshments will be provided during the morning break. However, lunch, travel arrangements, accommodation and per diems will be the responsibility of the respective NGO.

A certificate of attendance will be issued to all participants upon successful completion of the course.

Requests for places must be made as soon as possible through the Country Director, the designated Security Focal Point or the Human Resource Manager. Applications should include full details of the nominee(s), position, role & work place.
