Summary of the role
The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all operations of a branch
including hiring staff, heading the onboarding and staff training process, building rapport with
customers and the community, creating and implementing strategies to improve productivity and
sales performance in efforts to achieve the financial targets of the branch. Equally important, the
Branch Manager ensures the integrity of transactions, security of operations, and efficiency of
banking services offered at the Branch level.
Duties and Responsibilities
Direct all operational aspects including cash distribution operations, customer service,
human resources, administration, and sales.
Assess local market conditions and identify current and prospective sales opportunities. The
successful candidate will have a hands-on approach and will be committed to the expansion
and success of the business by implementing strategies that increase productivity and
enable sales targets achievement
Prepares financial statements and analysis for branch
Oversees budget reports, preparation of budgets, and analysis of budgets
Oversees financial reports for taxes, regulatory agencies, and other financial groups relating
to branch finance
Maintains and oversees all banking procedures and processes
You will manage staff, foster a positive environment and ensure customer satisfaction and
proper branch operation.
Bring out the best of branch’s personnel by providing training, coaching, development and
motivation.
Locate areas of improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and
leverage growth opportunities.
Share knowledge with other branches and headquarters on effective practices, competitive
intelligence, business opportunities and needs.
Address customer and employee satisfaction issues promptly.
Adhere to high ethical standards, and comply with all relevant laws.
Growing bank's number of accounts
Sufficient knowledge of modern management techniques and best practices.
Familiarity with industry’s rules and regulations, Excellent organizational skills, Results driven
and customer focused, Leadership and human resources management skills
Requirements and Qualifications

Experienced at compiling and following strict budgets

Able to analyze financial records and transfer data

Strong aptitude for numbers, spreadsheets, and financial reports
Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
In-depth understanding of branch bank and its position in the industry
Focused on customer service
Accurate, precise and pay attention to details.
Bachelor's degree in finance, business Administration with an emphasis in finance, or a related
field; ACCA, CPA or Master’s qualifications in a finance-related field will be added advantage
Significant 3-4 years’ experience in management position within the banking industry
Excellent computer skills, Exceptional knowledge of banking, finance, accounting, budgeting,
cost accounting, and cost control principles
Ability to manage employees, while multitasking large projects.
Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
Advanced knowledge of banking and finance best practices, laws, standards, and state/national
regulations.
