AMALNA South Sudan is a non-governmental, not-for-profit national NGO founded and registered by RRC in 2016. Our Mission is to promote access to information, effective citizen participation, and accountable government enabling people to equitably enjoy their wellbeing. Our thematic focus are on Humanitarian Response and Economic Empowerment (Protection, Health, Education, Gender), Peace building, Democracy and Governance, Climate change and Natural Resource Management, Media Development, and Institutional Capacity Strengthening. We are experienced in the use of media and communication to stimulate ‘positive voices’ to promote a culture of peace and reconciliation, good governance, human rights, gender equity, health etc. Amalna contributes to humanitarian work in South Sudan using radio programming, mobile cinema, social media, theatre, civic and community engagement, and other outreach activities. Our geographical presence includes Central Equatoria, Lakes, Jonglei, Northern Bahr El ghazel, Eastern Equatoria and Upper Nile states.
