Concern Worldwide is a non-governmental, international, humanitarian agency working in the areas of Health, Nutrition, Livelihoods, WASH and NFI/Shelter in three states in South Sudan.
Concern Worldwide is implementing Emergency Programmes in Juba Protection of Civilian (PoC) UN House as a response to the 2013 December crisis. In terms of nutrition, Concern’s response to the emergency has been to prevent and manage acute malnutrition among the most vulnerable groups through therapeutic and supplementary feeding as well as IYCF programs. Currently, Concern is running two OTP and two TSFP sites in UN House in Juba, located in PoC 1 and PoC 3 and blanket supplementation for all children under five in PoC 1. A SMART survey was conducted in the PoC in June 2015 with GAM and SAM rates of 14.8% and 3.2% respectively being observed. The Nutrition Cluster requires that each agency conducts one nutrition survey in their operational area each year
