The purpose of the Detention Field Officer 1 is to contribute to the implementation and monitoring of ICRC detention activities in Civilian prisons in South Sudan under the direct supervision of Senior Field Officer who is the focal person for the National Prison Service (NPS) file and overall supervision of the Deputy Protection Coordinator -Detention.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- University degree or relevant professional experience. Legal educational background or experience in a legal setting is in asset.
- Excellent command of English and Arabic. Ability to speak South Sudanese Arabic dialect and other local languages is in asset.
- Computer literacy.
- 2–3 years’ experience working in a related field, such as the social, political, or economic sciences.
- 1–2 years’ experience working for humanitarian agency an asset.
