South Sudan Network of People Living with HIV (SSNeP+) is a national umbrella body that represents and coordinates the interests and activities of member associations and support groups. SSNeP+ is an umbrella of State networks, member associations and support groups of PLHIV in South Sudan.
SSNeP+ Vision
SSNeP+ envisions “an environment in which PLHIV live longer, positively and productively”
In fulfilment of the above vision, SSNeP+ exists “to improve the quality of life for PLHIV and those affected by AIDS through the creation of a supportive environment free from HIV related stigma and discrimination”
SSNeP+ subscribes to the three (3) ‘zeros’ of the Joint United Nations Joint Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), namely; ‘Zero New Infections’, ‘Zero AIDS-related Deaths’ and ‘Zero Discrimination’, and ultimately works towards the attainment of these three (3) ‘zeros’ in South Sudan.
SSNeP+’s Goals and Strategic Objectives:
Goal 1: Reduced New HIV Infections
Strategic Objective 1.1: Enhancing Community Awareness of HIV, TB, STIs, sexual and GBVand referrals
Strategic Objective 1.2: Increased Access to HIV Testing Services
Goal 2: Improved retention to Treatment, Care and Support for PLHIV
Strategic Objective 2.1: Strengthen Linkages and Referrals to Treatment, Care and Support Services
Strategic Objective 2.2: Improve adherence to Treatment by PLHIV
Goal 3: Enabling environment for PLHIV
Strategic Objective 3.1: Champion the interests and needs of PLHIV
Goal 4: Strengthened Partnerships that will Increase Access of PLHIV to HIV and other Related Services
Strategic Objective 4.1: Promote strategic and mutually beneficial partnerships for the benefit of PLHIV
