Organisational background
Established in 2003, Malaria Consortium is one of the world’s leading non-profit organisations specialising in the comprehensive prevention, control, and treatment of malaria and other communicable diseases among vulnerable and under privileged populations. Malaria Consortium work on malaria is being increasingly integrated with other similar public health interventions for greater impact and therefore expanding our remit to include maternal, new-born and child health and neglected tropical disease interventions.
We work in Africa and Asia with communities, governments, academic institutions, and local and international organisations, to ensure effective delivery of services, which are supported by strong evidence.
Country Background.
Malaria Consortium began its operations in South Sudan in 2005, with its main office located in Juba and sub-offices in Aweil, Northern Bahr el Ghazal.
The organization is currently implementing a range of health projects including Seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention (SMC), Health Sector Transformation Project, Boma Health Initiative (BHI) Digitalization, Severe Malaria Project (aimed at reducing morbidity and mortality from severe malaria) and Zero-Dose and Immunization.
Malaria Consortium Seeks to Recruit for a Vaccination Program Coordinator.
Job purpose
The Vaccination Program Coordinator will oversee the planning, coordination, and monitoring of immunization activities under the GiveWell Zero Dose Project, ensuring effective implementation, stakeholder collaboration, and compliance with technical and financial requirements to improve vaccine coverage in targeted counties.
Job Scope
The Vaccination Program Coordinator will manage field assistants, M&E assistants and will work closely with county health departments and state ministry of health to achieve all project targets
