DT Global South Sudan/Shejeh Salam Activity is seeking to recruit qualified South Sudanese national as Grants Specialist – Roving to be based in Juba South Sudan and with frequent travels to the field locations.
To be eligible to apply for this position, candidate must have the following:
- At least 4 years of progressive experience in implementing donor funded programming.
- Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing, coordinate activities, and embrace collaboration with other Shejeh Salam departments, grantees, and other agencies in peace building and development.
- Prior experience working on USAID-funded projects, is highly preferable including recent experience with stabilization, peacebuilding, and/or democracy and governance projects.
- Experience in supporting small activities/grants awarded to local organizations on peacebuilding or similar activities is preferable.
- Experience supporting local procurements including familiarity with purchase requests, collecting quotations, and goods received notes.
- Fluency in English and Arabic preferred; ability to speak at least one of the local languages in the area of operations.
- Have a solid understanding of local and national context, and a basic understanding of conflict issues at the state, county, payam, and boma levels.
