MEAL (Monitoring, evaluation, Accountability and Learning Officer –Bor, Jongiel State, South Sudan
Are you an experienced and qualified MEAL (Monitoring, evaluation, Accountability and Learning Officer? Tearfund South Sudan has an exciting opportunity for a professional and qualified MEAL Officer .
The job holders will primarily contribute to the successful implementation of Health sector transformation project (HSTP) - in Bor South, Duk and Twic East Counties, Lot 9 funded by MDTF/World Bank through UNICEF and led by the National Ministry of Health (MoH), Republic of South Sudan.
The MEAL officer will be responsible for the implementation of the HSTP activities with ensuring quality, accountability and learning experience that will continuously contribute to the overall successful implementation of the project in Bor South, Duk and Twic East Counties and to execute the MEAL system in all programme interventions in designated areas.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, social sciences, statistic, information technology or any related field.
- Professional qualification in health related activities management and reporting will be added advantage.
- Having experience of 4-5 years post-qualifications professional experience of which at least 2 years should be in health projects monitoring and reporting.
- Excellent experience in using the DHIS2 reporting system.
- Experience in using EWARS.
- Experience in quantitative and qualitative data collection (M&E methods) and data analysis.
- Ability to fill up and monitor and report formats based on observations.
- Experience working with NGOs
- Flexible to work in field and travel for long hours for case work and in line with the HSTP projects requirements.
- Trained in data management and with at least one-year experience working with Excel managing databases.
- Experience working in humanitarian response.
- Experience in M&E and conducting assessments.
Skills/Abilities required:
- Good oral and written reporting skills in English.
- Excellent communication, report writing skills and facilitation skills
- Ability to manage staff in a consultative and supportive manner
- Knowledge in Ms-word and Excel
- Ability to take command of a situation and make decisions.
- Ability to speak juba Arabic.
- Organised and methodical with good attention to details
- Training skills, coaching and mentoring people
- Computer literate in financial management software
- Flexibility, multitasking, effective prioritising work, focus of deadlines, focus on details, excellent attention.
- Be trustworthy and responsible.
- Willing to work under minimum supervision.
