The World Health Organization (WHO) in the Republic of South Sudan invites interested and eligible companies/firms for a Biological Substance specimen courier from South Sudan to Uganda, Kenya and South Sudan.
Interested firms should submit their proposals through email to afwcossprocurement@who.int not later than 24th July 2025 at 16:00hrs Juba time. The submission should be in two separate files:
- Financial proposal – detailing prices breakdown as per the attached template unit prices.
- Technical proposal – should include but not limited to the detailing proposed solutions, approaches and methodologies in which the bidder is expected to explain how it will be handling the shipment of biological substances as a courier inline with the following requirements:
- Verifiable Understanding UN3373, UN2814 Sample Transport Compliance which support category B, and Category A, Sample Transport Compliance.
- Verifiable Understanding UN1845 Sample Transport Compliance which support us of Dry ICE (carbon dioxide, liquid of solid)
- Demonstrate understanding in Advance Cargo Information (ACI) requirements and the IATA.
- Cargo-XML messaging standard for the fulfillment of customs requirements in ACI filing.
- The availability of temperature-controlled facilities owned by the courier or existing
- arrangement of temperature-controlled facilities companies and appropriate equipment. This will be subject to inspection.
- The availability of staff trained to handle time and temperature-sensitive biological substances.
- Availability of booking system with monitoring capabilities including GPS tracking, Live ETA and job status updates.
- Certification of the local courier as by local authorities as courier for samples.
