Request for Expression of Interest (REOI)

The Government of South Sudan has received financing from the African Development Bank towards the cost of the Strategic Water Supply and Sanitation Improvement Project (SWSSIP) implemented by South Sudan Urban Water Corporation. It is intended that part of the agreed amount for this Grant shall be used for payments under the contract for Consultancy services for feasibility studies and detailed, engineering designs for improvement and expansion of water supply system and distribution network at Renk and Malakal County Council.

The Scope of Works that has been determined to achieve the project objective(s) include the following;

  • Reviews and Baseline Studies
  • Water Resources Assessment
  • Feasibility Studies and Pre design Phase
  • Detailed Engineering Designs

The above assignments are expected to be completed within Five (05) months.

The South Sudan Urban Water Corporation now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may constitute joint ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.

Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s Procurement Policy for Bank Group Funded Operations, dated December 2017, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org. The borrower is under no obligation to shortlist any consultant who expresses interest.

Expressions of interest must be delivered to the address below by 3:00 pm local time on Friday, 30th June 2020 in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Consultancy for Feasibility Studies and Detailed Engineering Designs for Improving the Water Supply system in Renk Town”
