World Vision is looking for a dynamic person to fill the position of Nutrition Coordinator for its Food Assistance Project, (Man or Woman) in its Office, based in Kuajok, Warrap State.
Purpose of the Position:
To support the implementation of the Nutrition Programme under the Food Assistance Programme in South Sudan and contribute to reduction of Malnutrition among <5 Children, Pregnant and Lactating Women.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide Nutrition Technical inputs towards Development of Proposals (Field Level Agreements) for the Food Assistance Programme
• Build Capacity of Staff and Government counter parts through On job and Off Job Trainings in implementation of Nutrition programme(Early detection of malnutrition, Referrals ,Treatment and Discharges) utilizing the IMSAM guidelines
• Promote Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF)practices in the Communities through Trainings for the Staff,SMOH partners and the Beneficiaries
• Participate in Health and Nutrition and other State meetings and share information on implementation of Health and Nutrition Programmes,malnutrition Trends
• Participate in SMART Nutrition Surveys and Rapid Nutrition Assessments jointly with other Partners to inform Nutrition programming
• Conduct periodic supervisory and Mentoring visits to field Staff to ensure Screening, Distribution and Discharge Standards are being complied to and conduct On job mentoring where required
• Contribute to the Monthly,Quaterly and Annual Donor Reports using the CMAM Database and the Nutrition Cluster Reporting Versions
• Participate and Share information and updates on Nutrition programmes and Malnutrition Trends and discuss possible ways of integrating with other Sectors for better outcome
• Ensure that the underlying causes of Malnutrition are addressed through promotion of Hygiene and Nutrition Education and BCC (Behaviour Change Communication) in the Communities
• Work closely with the DME Department in Food Assistance Programme on ODMs and PDMs for SFP/BSFP and implement the recommendations thereof to improve Programme outputs and outcomes.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• A University degree in Social sciences, a Degree or Diploma in Food and Nutrition Studies
• Must have 3 years’ experience in emergency relief, Nutrition programming & Management, and Nutrition survey and assessments.
• Must be willing to work in difficult relief settings
• Must possesses the following traits: Self-motivation, flexibility, a good team player, willingness to work in insecure environment and to work in multicultural and multi-religious settings, a mature risk taker and action-oriented.
• Ability to exhibit exemplary lifestyle as interpreted in local cultural settings.
• Exhibit spiritual discipline at all times, committing to WV Core values and mission statement Show respect for beneficiaries, their culture and beliefs.
• Willing to work under extreme hardship with limited resources.
• Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language. Knowledge of Basic Arabic an advantage.
N.B : This position is open to South Sudanese Nationals Only.
N.B; The incumbent of this position will be a Relocatable Staff.
