Africa Centre for Project Knowledge & Techniques is pleased to announce a Comprehensive, Hands-on and Master Class 5 days TRAINING WORKSHOP ON PROPOSAL WRITING & FUNDRAISING to be held from 2nd to 4th August, 2023.

Training Workshop Organizers:

Africa Centre for Project Knowledge & Techniques is a Training Centre, Knowledge Hub and Techniques Resource Portal in Project Management, Monitoring & Evaluation and Proposal Writing for individuals and organization in development and humanitarian sectors in pursuit for excellence and success in all kinds of projects endeavors. The Training Institute runs training programs in Kenya, South Sudan, Somalia, Ethiopia, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Congo, Nigeria, Gambia, Sierra Leone and trains over 6000 development and humanitarian professionals in the last 15 years.

We have trained many development and humanitarian staff from diverse international and local NGOs such as Doctors with Africa CUAMM, European Union National Authorizing Office (NAO) Support Unit (SU), Ministry of Finance, Planning & Economic Development - Uganda, Compassion International, French Embassy Kenya for Humanitarian Projects, Arche Nova International, Biovision Africa Trust, CARE International, Forum Syd, HIVOS, LAGA Cameroon, MEDAIR and Action Aid.

Training Workshop Description:

The Proposal Writing and Fundraising Course is a comprehensive course with the main objective of ensuring training participants master the science and art of Proposal Writing and Fundraising. The participants will be equipped on coming up with proposal ideas, researching, shaping the proposal content to the donors’ requirements and developing the actual final proposal. They will also be equipped with fundraising skills and fundraising strategies. This course will result in participants’ effective application of proposal writing and fundraising knowledge and skills for successful funding of projects. .

Training Workshop Objectives:

  1. To introduce participants to the basic proposal elements and formats for effective proposal writing.
  2. To guide participants through the process of identifying and responding to call for proposal.
  3. To ensure participants understand the key donors’ guidelines of successful proposals.
  4. To equip participants with knowledge and skills in needs assessment, problem statement, problem justification, project design and project budgeting.
  5. To empower participants to develop a fundraising plan and strategy for their organizations so as to be financially sustainable.

Training Methodology: The training methodology will be a combination of lectures, didactic practical exercises, videos, role plays, group discussions and question and answer approaches.

Who Should Participate : Professionals such as Proposal Writers, Grants Managers, Grants Officers, Program Officers, Project Officers, Project Managers, Program Managers and other professionals who are involved in the Proposal Writing and Fundraising roles in development and humanitarian organizations.

NB: The training workshop fee caters for training, training materials, training certificate and buffet lunch, tea and snacks during the training.

Participants coming from outside NAIROBI are requested to budget for their own accommodation and transport. However, we can assist you book or reserve accommodation at the training venue or hotels close to the training venue based on the training participant’s budget.
