Nutrition Project Officer(2 Positions) –Pochalla and Twic East

Are you an experienced and qualified Nutrition Officer? Tearfund South Sudan has an exciting opportunity for a professional and qualified Nutrition Project Officer.

The Nutrition Project Officer will be responsible for the nutrition work in Twic East and Pochalla. This includes providing technical oversight; facilitating training; monitoring and evaluation (of feeding centres, community screening, follow up and sensitisation); development of project and monthly reports and representation to the community and other stakeholders.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Degree in Nutrition, public health, nursing or equivalent qualification (certified nurse, clinical officer / certified midwife)
  • Proven experience in supervising nutrition programmes
  • knowledge of good practice standards: SPHERE
  • Experience in training staff and community members.
  • Proven experience in both People Management and Project Implementation.
  • Experience in working with health structures
  • At least 3 years’ experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including ability to communicate effectively in a particular language other than English in certain locations)
  • Ability to learn fast
  • Computer literate (Word & Excel)

  • Ability to lead and facilitate team in project implementation and pray and Bible study
  • Ability and commitment to apply biblical principles prayerfully within all aspects of the role.
