Job Summary
This exciting role will be part of our MEL team at Africa Training Institute but based in Nairobi Kenya, working closely with Academic staff to coordinate and oversee programme MERL Training activities.
Job Responsibilities
The R&PMEL Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of the research, planning, monitoring, evaluation and learning systems for projects and programs.
The person will also develop, and implement policies and systems to ensure the quality of the PMEL of projects and programmes.
The coordinator will also be a resource person for project/program planning, reporting and analysis.
About you
We are looking for team player who is collaborative and able to hit the ground running. You’ll be confident and competent working within an adaptive programming environment.
To qualify for the role;
Demonstrable experience in a leadership MERL position within the international development sector
Excellent technical skills in monitoring, evaluation, research and learning. For example, developing theories of change, designing MERL plans, writing log frames, managing oversight processes, sharing evidence and communicating learning.
Understanding and knowledge of adaptive management and corresponding MEL approaches
Experience working within a USAID programme and familiarity with USAID reporting requirements
Experience of working across multiple countries and diverse cultures
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including an excellent of English
