With Funding from HPF, HealthNet TPO as the lead partner and in Consortium with Impact Health Organisation supports provision of Essential Primary and Secondary Health Care services in Terekeka County.

The purpose of the Job:
The MNCH Supervisor will be part of HealthNet TPO South Sudan team and will provide overall technical support and guidance in integration of maternal, neonatal and child health including nutrition activities into the health facility based and community programs. S/he will directly supervise all program activities in the domain of MNCH in Terekeka County in coordination with the Program Manager and other project staffs. S/he further will be responsible for capacity building of the health facility staffs, county health departments and ensuring provisions of quality MNCH services while maintaining effectiveness and efficiency of all project activities at the county, facility and community level. The MNCH supervisor will work under the supervision of the Base program Manager.
Main Responsibilities:
• Strengthen the capacity of the CHD in technical planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, advocay and reporting on MNCH.
• Plan and coordinate the implementation of all MNCH activities across the County in collaboration with the PM and CHD counter part staff, helping to develop workplans, reports and preparation of budget forecasts for activities.
• Supervise provision of comprehensive antenatl, postnatal, IYCF, nutrition and new-born care services as per the available guidelines of South Sudan
• Ensure infection prevention and control measures are adhered to during services provision in the health facilities.
• Identify training needs of staff in the health facilities and counter parts at the CHD, develop a training plan, mentorship and capacity building plan. Conduct on-the-job mentorship and coaching to Midwives and child health care service providers during supportive supervision
• Provide overal techncical support to services provided across the BEmONC and CEmONC centers in the county, supervising sevices provided and ensuring their quality in signal functions, in collobartion with the CHD.
• Ensure that the quality of maternal and neonatal health services and immunization services at all levels of care is upto date with the BPHNS required standard of South Sudan.
• Work closely with technical staff in the maternity/delivery rooms to ensure that skilled birth care is provided to women in labour
• In Collaboration with the CHD, Organise and facilitiate maternal and neonatal reviews and audits.
• Anticipate, forecast and avail essential drugs, supplies and equipmmet that facilitate provision of quality MNCH services across health facilities, ensuring that at no time, a health facility runs out of stock of supplies/drugs needed for provision of MNCH services
• Ensure that growth monitoring, EPI, GESI, and Nutrition are integrated in primary health care services at all levels of care within health facilities and communities in the county.
• In collaboration with the CHD’s EPI focal person, prepare monthly EPI microplans and ensure implementation of routinely static and outreach EPI services as per the guidelines avaialble of South Sudan across health facilities and in the communities.
• Work with the CHD to ensure that cold-chain stations in the health facilities work effectively and outreachs are well supported through supervision so that no vaccine or vaccine related supply runs out of stock…
• Organize for routine weekly, monthly and quarterly quantified supervisions and participate in QoC assessments to all the health facilities within the Lot and follow up for the improvement of the identified gaps.
• Together with the M&E and the PHC supervisor, organize for the quarterly review meetings, quarterly technical reporting and follow up for the implementation of the agreed action points.
• Represent HealthNet TPO in different forums while adhering to the ethics of the organization.
• Perform any other responsibility as assigned by the line Manager
