General information
MAGNA is a non-profit independent medical humanitarian organization. We provide medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from healthcare. Our teams are made up of health professionals, logistic and administrative staff.
We recruit medical and non-medical personnel, collects private and institutional funds and raises awareness among the public about populations in danger. Using a small but highly committed group of staff and volunteers, we have achieved respectable results. We treat patients suffering from a wide array of illnesses and health needs (child health, malnutrition, sexual violence, women health, mental health, HIV/AIDS, malaria, cholera and other diseases).
Currentlly we have open missions in South Sudan, DR Congo, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq and Cambodia. Since start we h`ave worked in over 15 countries in Asia, Europe, Africa and America.
In South Sudan, MAGNA has opened mission in 2011 and currentlly we are working in Jonglei, providing access to medical care for population in crisis, through static healthcare centres, mobile health and outreach interventions.
Job description
Overall objective
Medical Data Entry Supervisor is resposiable for all activities related to medical data entry and data management into the mission database.
Tasks and responsibilities
Supervise, organise and plan the activity of Data Entry officers to have a reliable record of medical activity performed, as well as identify their training/technical support needs in order to provide a good service support and reliability of the data collected.
Ensure collation and entry of all data identified by project managers for collection (e.g. morbidity, mortality, surveillance of diseases of epidemics, nutrition, psychological and women’s health, etc) into the appropriate data management system while ensuring quality of data
Ensure accuracy of the medical data entered into the mission’s database on a regular basis, according to MAGNA protocols and carry out regular back-ups.
Provide technical support to data entry officers/operators in project sites and give response to their training needs
Provide regular statistical reports for the medical team as well as informing the superior of any missing information, major changes or big differences in data

Professional experience
Essential, working experience of at one two years in relevant and similar jobs
Knowledge and skills
Essential proven computer literacy, secondary education or qualifications either in administration, data entry or in statistics. Degree in Information and Technology (IT) desirable
English and Mission language essential
Desirable knowledge on medical statistics data bases
