Organizational Background.
Established in 2003, Malaria Consortium is one of the world’s leading non-profit organizations specializing in the comprehensive prevention, control, and treatment of malaria and other communicable diseases among vulnerable and underprivileged populations. Malaria Consortium works on malaria is being
increasingly integrated with other similar public health interventions for greater impact. Therefore, expanding our remit to include maternal, newborn, and child health and neglected tropical disease interventions. We work in Africa and Asia with communities, governments, academic institutions, and local and
international organisations to ensure effective delivery of services, which are supported by strong evidence.
Country and project background
Malaria Consortium began its activities in South Sudan in 2005 and has its main office in Juba and sub offices in Aweil, Northern Bar el Ghazel. The current projects include Seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention (SMC), Health Sector Transformational Project, BHI Digitalization, Severe Malaria (Reduce morbidity and mortality from severe malaria) and Zero-Dose & Immunisation. We are also implementing research projects including Malaria Molecular Surveillance (MMS), Flood-Linked Locally led interventions and Outbreak Warning for Malaria (FLLOW-M) and Optimizing Malaria Surveillance.
Job purpose
To provide technical and operational support for the planning, implementation, supervision, and monitoring of vaccination activities at the field level across assigned counties. The role ensures the delivery of high-quality immunization services, both routine and campaign-based, through direct support
to mobile vaccination sites, community health workers, and local authorities. The position strengthens local capacity, promotes effective use of data, and ensures alignment with national immunization guidelines, ultimately contributing to improved vaccine coverage and reducing vaccine-preventable
diseases in target remote communities.
Qualification and Experience
• Clinical Officer, nurse, or Public Health qualifications
• At least two years’ field experience in the related field
• Experience in conducting quality supportive supervision and data use
• Experience in managing teams
• Republic of South Sudan national, preferably from WBeG, Jonglei, Upper Nile, and Warrap States.
Desirable:
• A broad range of experience including logistics, training, and capacity building
• Experience working in drug/commodity supply management and logistic
