BRAC South Sudan is inviting applications from competent, dynamic and self-motivated individuals for the position of Security Risk Manager with the following criteria listed below:
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
• Develop security policies, protocols and procedures to maintain minimum security standards.
• Implements security policies, protocols and procedures to maximize safety and security of all BRAC staff and assets
• Evaluate incidents and determine course of action, maintenance of the risk-log, review security-related documents, such as incident reports, and strategic initiatives and inform CMT.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate security activities to safeguard organizational assets, employees, visitors, and property.
• Prepare reports and inform CMT on internal investigations, losses, and/or violations of regulations, policies and procedures by staffs.
• Assist in emergency response and contingency planning
• Coordinate with security companies to recruit, train and supervise security guards as per organizational requirement and ensures their actions comply with legal and regulatory requirements;
• Train staffs on security rules and procedures.
• Serves as the key liaison for all security stakeholder interactions at the program level, to aid facilitation of the successful completion of program deliverables as needed;
• Support in development, dissemination and reporting of security plans and standard operating procedures (SOP)
• Establish links with security networks and security consultants of South Sudanese Government, international and national organisations
• Respond to medical emergencies, bomb threats, fire alarms, or intrusion alarms, following security risk management procedures.
• Reports compliance issues relating to all security contracted services on a weekly basis to the Country Representative and CMT
• Prepares a weekly security report to the CSD
• Ensures Inspection of BRAC South Sudan facilities are undertaken on a monthly basis and performs formal risk assessments of all Program sites reporting changes in physical security, security posture or access requirements and updating Managers at each site
• When directed, oversees the investigation of various crimes against persons and property in conjunction with law enforcement when appropriate
• Enforces security policies and procedures and directs the programme staffs, to include but not limited to issuance of security badges, photographing of employees and introduction of contraband and other restricted items or articles carried by visitors and personnel access to the facilities
• Manages complex security improvement programs across different units, services organizations and regional geographies
• Conducts and coordinates activities of personnel in reviewing or updating security measures due to changes in the security threat levels, threat reporting, security atmospherics and or new policy or regulations
Required Skill / Capacity:
• 5+ year’s security management experience in high threat environments and 5+ years’ experience working in or supervising security systems and teams
• Bachelor’s degree/Diploma; Further education in security administration or similar field will be an asset
• Advanced First Aid or trauma training
• Experience using relevant technology and equipment (e.g. CCTV, guard pack)
• Experience in reporting and emergency response planning
• Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures
• Solid understanding of budgeting and statistical data analysis
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
• Familiar with changing security issues of South Sudan
• Sound knowledge of one or more local language dialects
• Committed to work with development organization
