Position Title: Media & Communications Officer.
Location: Juba Republic of South Sudan with travels to Fields when Necessary.
Reports To: Marketing Manager

Intern - Media & Communication Officer - Juba, South Sudan
Are you an experienced and qualified Media & Communication Officer? South Tech Solutions South Sudan has an exciting opportunity for a professional and qualified Media & Communication Officer to join as part of our Intern Team.
The Media and Communications officer is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive communication strategies that effectively convey the company’s message to various stakeholders, including customers, investors, and the media. This involves crafting compelling press releases, managing social media platforms, organizing events, and coordinating media relations.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- A minimum of bachelor’s degree in relevant field
- Minimum five (2) years of work experience with at least three (2) years spent in a similar role is essential.
- Minimum of three (3) years of demonstrable skills and experience in direct and indirect media/broadcast Journalism and communications work in this field highly desirable
- Demonstrable skills and experience in effective media relations
- Experience in capacity building and/or training skills is highly advantageous.
- Demonstrable and proven strong conceptual, research, analytical and writing skills.
- Demonstrable understanding and experience of gender and diversity issues as it relates to all media work and commitment to addressing inequalities in all the key areas of responsibility.
- Experience of working with Civil Society/ Media Network partners.
Skills/Abilities required:
- Ability to communicate complex ideas in simple language.
- Demonstrable ability to work independently, think strategically as well as work within a team.
- Creative thinking, developing, designing, or creating new ideas, relationships, systems, or products.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Familiar with the latest trends, tactics and technologies in digital influencing and can link online with offline media.
- Some graphic design skills and ability to develop simple infographics is desirable.
- Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to cultural differences and gender issues, as well as the commitment to equal opportunities.
- Commitment to South Tech Solution’s safeguarding policies to ensure all people who meet South Tech Solutions are as safe as possible.
- Knowledge of relevant audio-visual software such as Adobe Creative suite (Audition, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop) is an added advantage.
