Humanitarian Trainers
RedR UK trains life-savers by giving people the skills to prepare for, and respond to major disasters like earthquakes, floods, conflict and drought. In 2014 almost 6,400 humanitarian aid workers were trained in 41 countries and the development of national humanitarian organizations and national aid workers in disaster-affected countries is at the forefront of our work.

RedR UK runs humanitarian training and support programs in the most disaster-prone countries of the world; ensuring vital skills and knowledge remain in-country, where they’re needed most, for the long-term. RedR UK has responded to every major disaster in recent years, including the earthquakes in Nepal, the Syrian conflict, Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines, floods in Pakistan and the Haiti earthquake.

The pool of Associate Humanitarian Trainers

RedR implements its humanitarian trainings using the expertise of Senior Humanitarian Professionals or Technical Experts, who are working as freelance Associate Trainers.

For the expansion of our humanitarian trainings in the Sub-Saharan Africa Region, we are currently looking for qualified and experienced Trainers with a professional background in either of the following areas of expertise:

• Humanitarian Information Management (Fluent in English)
(GIS, Google Earth, SMART phone data collection)
• Emergency Preparedness and Response (Fluent in English)
• Gender, Age and Disability Inclusion (Fluent in English)
• WASH, Humanitarian Project Management, Logistics, Travel Safety/First Aid
(Somali and Amharic Speakers only)

Essential requirements
Minimum 5 years professional expertise
Minimum 5 years humanitarian experience
Minimum 1 year training facilitation experience (accumulated)
Residing within the East-African Region

Female trainers are encouraged to post their applications.
