HelpEducation South Sudan (HESS) is a Women – Led Organization established to address the most urgent literacy needs of the people of South Sudan. It is implementing a range of interventions in the areas of education that include; literacy programmes, teacher training, inclusive education, education in emergencies, girl child education, Gender in education, Child protection, women and youth empowerment life skills programmes, WASH in education, peace building in education, advocacy on education policies, leadership and governance in education. It is registered by the relevant authorities in the country including the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission. We have had programming in greater Bhar El Ghazal (Gogrial, Aweil, Tonj South, Awerial, Yirol East, Kuacjok, Cueibet, Wulu, Wau and Rumbek,), Greater Equatoria (Juba, Terekeka, Mundri) and Greater Upper Nile (Bor).
