Background

The purpose of the Global Health Supply Chain– Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) Program is to ensure uninterrupted supplies of health commodities in support of United States Government (USG)-funded public health initiatives around the world. The project provides direct procurement and supply chain management support to the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), and Population and Reproductive Health. In supporting USG-funded global health activities, GHSC-PSM will develop and manage a wide array of services for health commodity procurement and related systems strengthening technical assistance encompassing different elements of a comprehensive supply chain.

At the country level, GHSC-PSM supports country strategies and priorities that fall under the following three project objectives:

  • Global Commodity Procurement and Logistics
  • Systems Strengthening Technical Assistance
  • Global Collaboration to Improve Long-Term Availability of Health Commodities

Purpose

The Call Center Enumerator is responsible for collecting and sharing health commodity stock status information from health facilities at various levels throughout South Sudan. This individual will call targeted facilities at regular intervals and use a predetermined project system and set of questions to collect stock status.

The Call Center Enumerator will also provide support to the project team and the Ministry of Health Logistics Management Unit for ad-hoc data aggregation and reporting requests.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities of the Call Center Enumerator for the GHSC-PSM South Sudan Program include:

Utilize project application to contact health facilities and collect stock status

Prepare ad-hoc data aggregation and reports as needed

Coordinate with Logistics Management Unit for data analysis and reporting

Attend supply chain and/or public health stakeholder meetings as needed

Coordinate with the Central Medical Store on stock issues

Visit health facilities to validate data

Perform additional tasks as assigned by project leadership

Required Skills and Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties satisfactorily. The qualifications listed below are representative of the required knowledge, skills, and/or abilities needed to perform the principal duties.

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in public health, supply chain, international development, or other related field

Minimum of one (1) years of experience working on public health or supply chain projects

Knowledge of HIV/AIDS, malaria, and family planning commodities

Excellent interpersonal and communications skills

Demonstrated skills in Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft applications, and other computer programs as needed

Strong organization skills and ability to work on a team-oriented, culturally-diverse environment

Self-driven with a proven sense of quality, accuracy, and efficiency

Proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities, and work independently

Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity

Fluency in English required, proficiency in Arabic preferred

Level of Effort and Location of Assignment

This long-term position is based in Juba, South Sudan with the possibility for intermittent travel throughout the program’s target regions as needed.

Supervision

The Call Center Enumerator will report directly to the Deputy Country Director or his/her designee.
