Gender Specialist /Renk South Sudan

The South Sudan Women United is seeking a Gender Specialist (preferably a female) to support refugees, returnees and host communities affected by the Sudan crisis. This role will act as SSWU primary contact for PROPELL with RESPECT project overseeing Gender engagement in community-based activities and provide essential SGBV Prevention and response support services to foster protection, safety, gender equality, cultural adaptation, and social development. The specialist in collaboration with partners and local authority in Renk will work in various settings – such as homes, virtual platforms, schools, community centers and Government institutions – to guide and empower women, men, girls and boys. Reporting to the Executive Director, the specialist will assist with outreach, recruitment, and enrollment, conduct workshops and orientations, manage a caseload high-needs clients, and coordinate community engagement and GBV advocacy efforts with enhancing comprehensive case management systems and referral pathways.
