Understanding the core issues in emergency planning is crucial given the prevalence of various emergencies. Increased preparedness and effective responses are essential due to the heightened risks involved. Time is critical in crises, necessitating clear communication and strategies to save lives and minimize disruptions. This course combines academic knowledge with practical learning to enhance disaster preparedness and response, fostering professionals ready for action.

Covering the fundamentals of emergency planning, including its rationale, the course empowers participants to engage effectively in all-hazard emergency operations. Facilitated by experienced professionals, it offers hands-on learning to build resilience and protect lives and property threatened by disasters.

Upon completion of the course, participants will:

*Gain knowledge required to pursue a career or work on emergency planning and management.

METHODOLOGY

The instructor led trainings are delivered using a blended learning approach and comprises of presentations, guided sessions of practical exercise, web based tutorials and group work. Our facilitators are seasoned industry experts with years of experience, working as professional and trainers in these fields.

All facilitation and course materials will be offered in English. Upon successful completion of this training, participants will be issued with a certificate.

All participants will additionally cater for their, travel expenses, visa application, insurance, and other personal expenses.

Participants coming from outside NAIROBI are requested to organize their own accommodation and transport. We can however reserve accommodation space for you at the training venue.
