Communication for development often lacks grassroots perspectives and local solutions. According to the UNDP, almost 83% of South Sudanese live in a rural setting. Yet many of the tools and methods for SBCC and training initiatives are created without the voice of the populations they serve. We believe impactful tools depend on local participation. This requires going beyond baseline project reports. SBCC solutions require a deeper qualitative understanding of what is happening at the community level.
