CASH Transfer Programming Consultant - PAH South Sudan-Juba
Polish Humanitarian Action (PAH) is an international humanitarian non-governmental organization working in South Sudan since 2006. PAH is working in the WASH, FSL, and Shelter/NFIs sectors, providing these services to vulnerable communities around the country.
Cash Based Interventions (CBIs) or Cash transfer programs (CTP) are becoming a vital modality in South Sudan when responding to humanitarian needs. The modality is encouraged by the S/NFI Cluster when market conditions make it a feasible approach (e.g. where functional markets and infrastructures are available). In South Sudan, many organizations respond with cash transfer programs in various emergency and recovery situations in almost all sectors.
PAH already has experience with CBIs in the country but the Mission seeks to strengthen the staff capacity in CTP/ CBI and to establish implementation standards for effective and efficient use of this modality. PAH is currently implementing a S/NFI project, funded by SSHF, between 1st September 2018 and 31st March 2019. As part of the project, the Mission hires a Consultant to ensure the high quality delivery of cash based assistance.
