Humanity & Inclusion , the new name of Handicap International (HI), is an independent Non-Governmental Organization working in situations of poverty and exclusion, conflict, and disaster. Founded in 1982, HI is a federation implementing projects in over 60 countries with eight national associations in Belgium, France, the UK, Germany, Luxembourg, Switzerland, the USA, and Canada.
Humanity and Inclusion (HI) has been operating in South Sudan since 2006, promoting the rights, safety, and quality of life of vulnerable populations, particularly persons with disabilities. We work alongside people with disabilities and vulnerable populations, taking action and bearing witness in order to respond to their essential needs, improve their living conditions, and promote respect for their dignity and fundamental rights.
