CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI) FOR COMMUNITY BASED ORGANISATIONS (CBOs)/NEWLY ESTABLISHED NNGOS IN DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE COUNTRY .
Background Information
Coalition for Humanity (CH) is a national Not-for-Profit organization, committed to finding lasting solutions to humanitarian and development challenges facing the people of South Sudan. The organization focuses on Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Gender Based Violence (GBV), General Protection (GP), Health and Nutrition. Coalition for Humanity has experience in integrating projects and forming a nexus across sectors in order to leverage on resources. We consider Protection/GBV, Housing, Land and Property rights (HLP) governance, peace building and conflict transformation as cross cutting issues. We have successfully integrated these in WASH, FSL, Non-food items, Health and Nutrition.
Coalition for Humanity (CH) has its headquarters in Juba, with presence in Leer, Panyijiar, Mayendit, Koch, Mayom and Rubkona counties in Unity State, Maiwut, Renk, Malakal and Longechuk in Upper Nile state, Juba County in Central Equatoria, Ruweng Administrative Area and Aweil West in Northern Bahr El Ghazal. CH is also present in Greater Pibor Administrative with a physical office in Pochalla County. The organization’s ultimate goal is to reach out to people across the entire South Sudan by providing humanitarian, resilience and development assistance to vulnerable communities in South Sudan.
Purpose of this Expression of Interest (EOI)
Coalition for Humanity has a desire and increasingly works at the local levels with faith-based organizations, women and youth associations, self-help groups, as well as other community-based organizations (CBOs)/ newly established NNGOS. We believe that engaging and leveraging on the experiences of these locally based constituencies can result in better outcomes for the programmes we are implementing. We believe working with community-based organisations is not only cost effective but brings incremental successes and behavior change that most of our programmes intend to achieve. Over the last few years, CH has worked informally with a number of these groups in raising awareness on many issues including campaigns such as hygiene promotion, elimination of harmful social norms and GBV, return to school, protection concerns and peacebuilding related interventions. CBOS/Newly established NNGOS also support our work in terms of mass distribution of non-food items, and general project implementation.
This call is to carry out mapping of active CBOs/ NEWLY ESTABLISHED NNGOS registered and active in different parts of the country. Selected CBOS/NNGOS will be enrolled for mentorship and capacity support in order to increase their ability to respond and support in different areas of their expertise at different localities.
How to Apply
Community Based Organizations (CBOs)/NNGOS that wish to participate in this Call for Expression of interest (EOI) should send their submission (application form and required supporting documents in one document) via email with the following subject “CBO/NNGO EOI-STATE-COUNTY” at the following email address: [email protected] Deadline: 20th April, 2024. 5.00 pm (Juba time). The EOI and application Form herein, together with all supporting documents must be submitted in English.
This is an expression of interest (EOI) and submission does not constitute a contract or promise of engagement with Coalition for Humanity. Coalition for Humanity will reach out to selected CBOs/NNGOS on a rolling basis.
