CAFOD is a leading international development and humanitarian aid agency working with partners worldwide to support to communities. Since 2015, CAFOD has partnered with Trocaire in South Sudan, operating as a joint office known as CAFOD and Trocaire in Partnership (CTP). Both agencies are members of the Caritas Internationalis Network. Prior to this formal collaboration, CAFOD and Trocaire had been engaged in development and humanitarian work in Sudan and South Sudan for over 50 years, building strong relationships with local partners, communities and stakeholders.
CTP is dedicated to expanding the reach and impact of its programs. Its mission is to serve the most vulnerable communities, save lives, build resilience, and empower local partners to lead initiatives that are both locally driven and sustainable. CTP’s programme in South Sudan aims to promote dignity, unlock human potential, and contribute to economic and social development within a safe and thriving environment. Rooted in a strong partnership approach, CTP focuses on capacity building and collaborative efforts that support locally led and owned development strategies.
Currently, CTP works with eight national NGO and local Caritas partners to implement projects funded by multilateral, institutional and private donors. CTP operates in six of South Sudan’s ten states, delivering emergency response, resilience-building, social cohesion, and development interventions.
To support its operations, CTP is seeking a qualified finance expert as a consultant to support its local partners and CTP office on finance management and ensure donor compliance for a four-month interim period.
