How to Apply: The Scholarship Committee requests a summary of the academic qualifications of each student applying. The summary should include the student’s academic qualifications, accomplishments, career goals, and financial needs. The synopsis should be no longer than two (2) printed pages and include the following documents (copies, not originals) to the Directorate of Training and Professional Development at the Ministry of Health, Juba.
The application documents to be submitted includes but not limited to the following:-

Cover letter (200 words or less) detailing the motivation for applying for the scholarship and demonstration of being the most deserving.

A signed scholarship declaration form by the applicant and recommending community authority. Declaration form to be picked from the Directorate of Training and Professional Development or digitally sent with the advertisement.

A photocopy of the Secondary School Certificate from issuing Examination Council.

Copy of Birth Certificate or Nationality Identification.

Updated Curriculum Vitae.

Basis of Award: The Scholarship Committee, comprised of five members chaired by Amref Health Africa will select students to receive a scholarship based on their review of the application form and two letters of recommendation. The first letter will be from County Health Director; the second letter will come from the student.
Any applicant may apply; however, the committee may limit awards to no more than 15 students admitted to Maridi Health Sciences Institute Diploma in Registered Midwifery Course. The scholarships will be awarded primarily based on financial need, academic qualifications, and career goals.
