Africa Centre for Project Knowledge & Techniques is a Training Centre, Knowledge Hub and Techniques Resource Portal in Project Management, Monitoring & Evaluation and Proposal Writing for individuals and organization in development and humanitarian sectors in pursuit for excellence and success in all kinds of projects endeavors. The Training Institute runs training programs in Kenya, South Sudan, Somalia, Ethiopia, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Congo, Nigeria, Gambia, Sierra Leone and trains over 6000 development and humanitarian professionals in the last 15 years.
We have trained many development and humanitarian staff from diverse international and local NGOs such as Doctors with Africa CUAMM, European Union National Authorizing Office (NAO) Support Unit (SU), Ministry of Finance, Planning & Economic Development - Uganda, Compassion International, French Embassy Kenya for Humanitarian Projects, Arche Nova International, Biovision Africa Trust, CARE International, Forum Syd, HIVOS, LAGA Cameroon, MEDAIR and Action Aid.
Training Workshop Description:
Projects are implemented in an ever-increasing complex project context and a challenging organizational environment. Additionally, projects are implemented under tight time-frames, quality and cost constraints. In such an environment, project managers are still desirous to drive real project impact. In the view of these challenges, this training course has been specifically designed to empower training participants with knowledge, skills, tools and techniques of Advanced Project Management so as to thoroughly implement projects under their responsibility. The goal of the Advanced Project Management Training Workshop is to equip and empower the training participants with advanced knowledge and skills in project identification, set-up, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation and closure and sustainability to achieve success in the projects.
Training Workshop Objectives:
- To equip training participants with advanced processes, tools and techniques of Project Management using standard principles of Project Management.
- To ensure training participants understand how to monitor and evaluate projects for project deliverables and results.
- To allow participants gain knowledge on the key knowledge areas of Project Management.
- To ensure training participants gain knowledge and skills in the use of a computerized tool for project planning, implementation and tracking of projects.
- To apply knowledge and skills gained in the training workshop to apply in practical case project.
Training Methodology: The training methodology will be a combination of lectures, didactic practical exercises, videos, role plays, group discussions and question and answer approaches.
Who Should Participate: Professionals such as Monitoring and Evaluation Officers, Program Officers, Project Officers, Project Managers and other professionals who are involved in the Project Management and Monitoring and Evaluation roles in organizations.

NB: The training workshop fee caters for training, training materials, training certificate and buffet lunch, tea and snacks during the training.
Participants coming from outside NAIROBI are requested to budget for their own accommodation and transport. However, we can assist you book or reserve accommodation at the training venue or hotels close to the training venue based on the training participant’s budget.
