About the Course
The course is a broad based Diploma program of study aimed at developing leaders and supplies managers who are well trained and skilled in all aspects of creating value for customers, integrity in this field and for the firm in supplies and other purchasing functions.
The Diploma in Procurement and Logistics Management endeavors to produce graduates with the skills and knowledge required for efficient acquisition and disposal of organization resources. There are a total of 22 units (Inclusive of Field Attachment) to be fully covered and completed for Diploma Award. Students will be required to pursue 7 units in Part I, 7 units in Part II, 7 units in Part III and Attachment in Part IV.
Objective:
It prepares students for careers in purchasing, inventory management, materials handling, stores management, customer service management, project management, field service and support.
Learning Outcomes
At the end of this course, the grandaunts will have gained skill, knowledge and experience in:
i) Enable the graduates to acquire skills and knowledge for proper management of organizations‟ resources.
ii). Enable the graduates to effectively and efficiently handle acquisition and disposal of organizations‟
iii). Enable graduates to carry out research with a view to finding solutions to procurement problems affecting the organization.
iv). Equip students with skills for career in procurement and Logistics Management in the public and private sector
v). Prepare students for further studies
