MEDICAL ACTIVITY MANAGER

Contract: 6 months fixed term contract renewable

Main Purpose:

Ensure the proper functioning of the medical activities under his/her responsibility, defining and implementing MSF policies, protocols and procedures, and guaranteeing the quality of healthcare in order to improve health conditions of the target population.

Scope of responsibilities:

Coordinate, assess and supervise the proper functioning of the medical activities (HIV, TB, STIs, SGBV, etc.),
Check all administrative procedures related to patients’ follow-up (individual card filling, registers, paper exit, discharge, transfers …) are correctly carried out
Prepare the medical orders needed to implement the medical activitie(s) under his/her responsibility, and identify non-medical support needs (material, infrastructure, transport, etc.), reporting them to the line manager.
Plan and supervise, in close coordination with the HR department, the associated processes (recruitment, training, performance evaluation, development and internal communication) of the staff under his/her responsibility
Coordinate and monitor the daily working plan of the team under his/her responsibility (absent personnel, vacations, tracking leaves …). Replaces a doctor if necessary and participates in shifts.
Ensure an efficient pharmacy and medical equipment management
Participate in the programs / project follow-up, supervise and report to the technical referent any problem arising in the service.
Provide monthly reports and define annual planning, budgets etc… for the project
Work in close collaboration with the international MAM for capacity building

Recruitment criteria:
Education: MANDATORY Medical Doctor Diploma + registration to South Sudan Medical Council
Experience: MANDATORY 2 years of experience as Medical Doctor;
Experience in MSF or INGO’s in developing countries is a plus
Languages: English mandatory. Local language: Dinka/Arabic is a plus
Knowledge: MANDATORY computer literacy (word, excel and internet)
