World Vision is looking for a dynamic person to fill the position of Monitoring & Evaluation Officer, (Man or Woman) for its Health Pooled Fund Project, based in Kuajok Hospital, Warrap State, South Sudan

Purpose of the Position:

The M&E Officer position will will contribute to strengthening data management, improving the quality and timeliness of reports, increasing the utilization of routine monitoring data and assisting in building the capacity of frontline staff to utilize in data management.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Improve data management through efficient organization, retrieval and delivery (40%)

• Take lead in implementing the GOSS HMIS in the hospital, including collection, processing and submission of monthly, weekly, and IDR data SMOH and partners
• Identify and help management to respond to problems that have emerged from the information in the health system in a timely manner;
• In collaboration with staffs from other department, extract, collate and data from registers and other medical records
• Ensure accurate sorting of files and reports at data entry into DHIS
• Control data quality through ensuring that data is clean and checked for accuracy
• Contribute to finding solutions for problems related to data management
• Actively participate in data management meetings
• Implement protocols on data privacy, data security, and backups in the context of data management and M&E

Strengthen internal and external reporting by production of timely, quality program reports(30%)
• Contribute to the development of M&E plans, including reporting schedules and logical frameworks
• Work with partners, especially SMOH, CHD, and HPF Data Management Teams on improvements to the reporting system
• Support routine internal reporting processes related to data collection (data collection systems, reporting forms and reporting systems)
• Assist in developing templates for reporting
Increase the utilization of M&E data through improved sharing and presentations (15%)
• Actively contribute to the compilation, sharing and presentation of program findings, trends and results with decision makers
• Participate in program-related quality improvement projects requiring monitoring and evaluation as requested
Build capacity of supervisory and frontline health workers to collect and utilize data (15%)
• Participate in State, National and County M&E performance review and feedback meetings as requested
• Provide capacity building to frontline health workers to collect routine health facility data
• Provide periodic feedback visits to all departments involved in generation and utilization of to share reports based on data collected by health workers

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Higher diploma in social sciences, development, Epidemiology or health relevant field
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize data and producing reports
• Demonstrated ability to use data management software e.g. DHIS, Excel, Access
• Ability to manage tight timelines and potentially stressful, shifting priorities and deadlines

N.B: This position is open to South Sudanese Nationals Only.

N.B: The incumbent of this position will not be a Relocatable Staff.

N.B: The position is under HPF Project in Kuajok Hospital in collaboration with World Vision South Sudan
