Africa Centre for Project Knowledge & Techniques is pleased to announce a Comprehensive, Hands-on and Master Class 10 days Training Workshop on ADVANCED PROJECT MANAGEMENT, MONITORING & EVALUATION AND MICROSOFT PROJECT to be held in Nairobi, Kenya at the Best Western Meridian Hotel on: 5th December, 2022 to 16th December, 2022.

Training Workshop Organizers:

Africa Centre for Project Knowledge & Techniques is a Training Centre, Knowledge Hub and Techniques Resource Portal in Project Management, Monitoring & Evaluation and Proposal Writing for individuals and organization in development and humanitarian sectors in pursuit for excellence and success in all kinds of projects endeavors. The Training Institute runs training programs in Kenya, South Sudan, Somalia, Ethiopia, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Congo, Nigeria, Gambia, Sierra Leone and trains over 6000 development and humanitarian professionals in the last 15 years.

We have trained many development and humanitarian staff from diverse international and local NGOs such as Doctors with Africa CUAMM, European Union National Authorizing Office (NAO) Support Unit (SU), Ministry of Finance, Planning & Economic Development - Uganda, Compassion International, French Embassy Kenya for Humanitarian Projects, Arche Nova International, Biovision Africa Trust, CARE International, Forum Syd, HIVOS, LAGA Cameroon, MEDAIR and Action Aid.

Training Workshop Description:

Today’s development projects are increasingly complex and implemented under tight time-frame and budget constraints. While many Project Managers in organizations are passionate to implement projects successfully, they are limited in the knowledge and skills of Project Management, Monitoring & Evaluation and Microsoft Project. There is also a wide range of processes, tools and techniques that could make their work much more efficient. The training program has been designed with a holistic capacity building approach to empower course participants to achieve competency in Project Management, Monitoring & Evaluation and Microsoft Project knowledge. The knowledge and skills acquired in this training are critical in managing development and humanitarian donor projects. This allows the training participants to apply the knowledge and skills in Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation and Microsoft Project to meet the project, organizational and donor requirements and conditions while successfully completing the projects.

Training Workshop Objectives:

  1. To review the key fundamentals, processes, techniques and tools for project management in donor projects.

  2. To review the key fundamentals, systems, frameworks, tools and techniques in the monitoring and evaluation of donors’ projects.

  3. To review the development of a project plan, monitoring, analysis and reporting on a donor project using Microsoft Project.

  4. To apply knowledge and skills gained in the training program in a practical exercise.

Training Methodology: The training methodology will be a combination of lectures, didactic practical exercises, videos, role plays, group discussions and question and answer approaches.

Who Should Participate: Professionals such as Monitoring and Evaluation Officers, Program Officers, Project Officers, Project Managers and other professionals who are involved in the Project Management and Monitoring and Evaluation roles in organizations.

Fees: USD 1,800 Per Person

NB: The fee caters for training, training materials, training certificate and Buffet Lunch, Tea and Snacks during the Training.

Participants coming from outside NAIROBI are requested to budget for their own accommodation and transport. However, we can assist you book or reserve accommodation at the training venue or hotels close to the training venue based on their budget.
