Qualitative Data Management and Analysis with Nvivo Software (5 Days)
Many researchers these days collect their data through a mixture of quantitative and qualitative (open ended) responses. If you are planning to conduct interviews or focus groups for your data collection, or perhaps do participant observation during key events or meetings or you will be collecting policy papers, press articles, or Internet data from online survey tools like Survey Monkey, Fluid Surveys and Survey Wizard, blogs, Facebook or Twitter, soon or later you will be faced with piles of data and field notes you collected for analysis. Will you know how?

Scientific Writing and Scholarly Publishing Course (2 Days)
A critical aspect of the scientific process is the reporting of new results in scientific journals to disseminate that information to the larger community of scientists. Communication of your results contributes to the pool of knowledge within your discipline and very often provides information that helps others interpret their own experimental results. Most journals accept papers for publication only after peer review by a small group of scientists who work in the same field and who recommend the paper be published (usually with some revision)
