World Vision is looking for qualified candidate (Man or Woman) to fill the position of Clinical Officer for Health Pooled Fund Project – Twic Program.

Job Title: Clinical Officer
Reports to: County Health Officer

Duty Station: Twic Health facilities( Ajak –Kuac, , Mayen Abun PHCC Akak, Wunrok and Akoc
Deadline: 21st February ,2017

Purpose of the position:
To oversee and have a hands-on monitoring and supportive supervision of patients in the outpatient and inpatient departments

Essential Functions:
• Provide essential clinical care to patients in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Ensure all patients are attended to by the right health workers, promptly and in a professional manner.
• Lead daily rounds in the in-patient clinic.
• Identify the training needs of nurses and other junior personnel, ensuring they receive appropriate training by conducting continuous medical education (CME) during ward rounds.
• Participate in timely and accurate daily, weekly, monthly collection & submission of epidemiological reports.
• Continuously monitor the use of standardized health management information system and forms/tools for data collection, analysis and reporting.
• Ensure correct usage of treatment protocol and proper management of all medical materials and equipment at the hospital.
• Provide appropriate health education to all patients attending outpatient clinic.
• Work closely with the laboratory team to ensure that patients are appropriately investigated and results released on time with emphasis on confidentiality.
• Supervise activities in the OPD including nutrition screening and injection rooms.
• Ensure compliance with referral system among supervised staff, including entry of referral forms into appropriate register books, completion of feedback forms of referring facilities, and follow up, as required of discharged patients.
• Ensure rational use of the drugs.
• Perform any other duty assigned by line manager.

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience
• Diploma in clinical medicine and Public Health training from a recognized institution
• Registered Clinical Officer, holding a valid Practicing Certificate, with at least 2 years’ experience
• Strong coordination skills with proven ability to work across multiple technical areas simultaneously, supporting and mentoring multiple staff members
• Excellent communication skills – written and spoken and computer skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, creativity, flexibility, adaptability and empathy
• Proven ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment
• Organized and enthusiastic; Committed Christian;
• Must be South Sudanese national;
• Must be ready to work under minimal supervision
• Spoken and written English and spoken Arabic and Dinka is an added advantage

• This position is open to South Sudanese Nationals only.
• The incumbent of this position will not be a relocatable staff.
• The total gross salary for this position is : 500 USD
