Foundation for Youth initiative (FYI) is a national NGO, founded in 2011. We champion local development programs bysupporting community development institutions including farmer cooperatives, youth-led enterprises, women associations, small and medium enterprises,and peace-building and community recovery, among other initiatives.
In partnership with the United States African Development Foundation (USADF), we support grassroots entities in a number of ways including identification, screening and preparation of applicants that are adjudged to be potentially qualified for our supports. We train and monitor grantees that receive our support with view to ensure they are in compliance with grant terms and conditions of USADF. At the end of each grant project, we undertake project closeouts according to required standards of the USADF. Thus, project development officer is key to this process.
