The Capacity Development / Health System Strengthening Manager will provide strategic direction and overall technical leadership for all capacity building/health systems strengthening related activities. S/he will design, develop and implement capacity development programmes within Amref Health Africa South Sudan programme. In close collaboration with the proposed Amref International University (AMIU), design, implement and monitor pre-service and in-services training for health workers programmes of Amref Health Africa in South Sudan. Oversee the implementation of capacity building activities including management of Maridi Health Science Institute, the LMG, the South Sudan Nurses and Midwifery Association (SSNAMA).
The position holder will principally be answerable to the Head of Programme Amref Health Africa in South Sudan with technical accountability to the Director, Institute of Capacity Development at Amref Health Africa Headquarters.
